This is a three hour BYOB abstract painting instruction with Ian M. Sherwin, owner of Sherwin's Gallery and contract artist for The Field Museum in Chicago. Ian has been applying his unique styles and teaching methods to not only influence and teach children, but now ADULTS as well in a creative and unique gallery setting. Join Ian for a 3 hour abstract painting class that is sure to inspire the artist within. Ian M. Sherwin tailors the classes to all skill levels while keeping it entertaining, educational and inspiring for all.

Each inspiring the other, little did Cindy nor Ian know that a great relationship would form between student and teacher to put together a brilliant display of their work in our gallery. The Children’s Fall Art Program is led by exhibited artist at The Field Museum, Ian M. Sherwin who instructs children in painting, sculpting, drawing, origami and much more. Learn to mix paints, set up canvas’, balance colors and even how to create a portfolio for scholarships and contracts.

Children’s Fall Art Program Schedule

10 Week Program $200, Families with multiple children in classes receive 15% discount
Monday 2:15-3:15 Ages 4-6
Monday 4:00-5:00 MultiMedia Ages 6-9
Wed 2:15-3:15 All Ages
Wed 4:00-5:00 Advanced Art Ages 8+

Sat 10:00-11:00 All ages
Sat 11:30-12:30 All Ages
Sat 1:00 – 2:00 All Ages

*Due to limited classroom space, cancellation is required no later than 1 week before selected class so that Sherwin’s Gallery can try to fill the empty easel. If cancellation is necessary for any reason, Sherwin’s Gallery reserves the right to charge a $15 cancellation fee upon issuing a refund.

Learn to mix paints, set up canvas’, balance colors and even how to create a portfolio for scholorships and contracts. Group Classes are taught at Sherwin’s Gallery located in the heart of Wrigleyville at 1224 W. Grace St Chicago, IL. Individual classes can be held at Sherwin’s Gallery or at private residence. Group classes are limited to 20 people max and are run in 5&10 week long programs 1 day per week. Individual instruction with Ian M. Sherwin is available upon request.
